West Water is a tributary of the River Barle. It rises on Worth Hill, Withypool near to Tudball’s Splats. It flows in a south easterly direction to reach Worth and then West Water Farm. Its confluence with the the Barle is approximately one kilometre upstream from Tarr Steps.
