Description:
This is a delightful structure built of local stone with three segmental arches, the central arch being taller and wider than the two outside arches with dressed stone voussoirs. Stone parapets and rough copings. Carries a track over the river and was built as a feature of a once emparked estate belonging to Westcombe House ( Now demolished ). The piers on the downstream side are constructed at a lower level to form waterfalls through the arches which cascade into a pool with stone edges and probably originally designed and used as a swimming pool. English Heritage Listed Building Number: 268243.
