Description:   The structure is built on reinforced concrete piles, while the deck is made of reinforced concrete, cast in glass fibre formwork. The balustrade is of cast iron. The superstructure is of high tensile steel with high tensile steel cables. (1)

Cricklepit Bridge, which connects the Quay with the major developments on Haven Banks and associated car parks near the Canal Basin, was opened on 29 June 1988, the Trust having undertaken significant refurbishment and re-painting etc. since its opening. In July 1996 the designation of the Bridge was changed to allow its joint use by pedestrians and cyclists and thus incorporating it into the City’s cycle network. (2)
